Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure.

Reapply:
after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating
immediately after towel drying
at least every 2 hours

Sun Protection Measures. Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a broad-spectrum SPF of 30 or higher and other sun protection measures including:
limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
wear long-sleeve shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses

Likely, you’ve had a sunburn in your lifetime, and even if you haven’t you know someone who has. First-degree burns result in pain and redness, and more significant burns can result in blisters, peeling, and even hospitalization. Sunburn symptoms are similar to symptoms you experience when you come into contact with a hot surface, but are more wide-spread because they are secondary to exposure to radiation that surrounds your entire body. UV radiation comes primarily from the sun, and in addition to causing burns, can also damage your skin cells’ DNA. This damage can result in genetic defects, or mutations, that can develop into skin cancers and premature aging. EltaMD Sport is a simple product. It does only one thing, but it does it extremely well; it protects your skin from ultraviolet radiation. It does this with a high percentage of chemical and physical blockers within a non-irritating base that resists water, sweat and the elements.
