Bryn Mawr Dermatology had this unique foaming cleanser designed especially for patients suffering with chronic inflammation, Rosacea and very irritable skin; however, we’ve found that it is appropriate for anyone that struggles with patchy dryness, a tendency for flushing/pinkness or T-zone oiliness. The soothing foam completely removes any excess oils, grime or make-up on your face, but does not strip the skin of it’s essential protective barrier.

Cleanse face and neck twice a day, once in the morning and once before you go to bed at night. Apply one pump of foamy cleanser to damp hands and massage gently into skin paying special attention to creases around your nose and mouth. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel. Follow with a rich and soothing moisturizer to help retain your skin’s natural hydration.

Redness of the skin is caused by a number of factors: irritation and inflammation of the dermis and epidermis, superficial blood vessels, extreme dryness, and in some cases medications. The active ingredients in BMD’s Soothing Foamy Cleanser include an extract of the Tetradium Ruticarpum tree called Evodiox that has shown in laboratory studies to reduce inflammation and the secondary redness it causes. Ginger root extract is a component that encourages smooth, even skin tone by reducing roughness and fading dark spots. To gently exfoliate skin without drying it out, we’ve added Allantoin to soften the keratin of the skin and encourage new skin cell growth. To make this cleanser a full knock-out, you will also find Bisabolol, an active plant extract isolated from the German chamomile and known to have anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing properties. It is 100% fragrance and paraben free, so even the most sensitive skin will not be irritated.
